Your Essential Bee Rescue Kit: A Little Help for Our Buzzing Friends

At The Wasteless Workshop, I pour my heart into crafting these special emergency rescue kits, right here in-house. I use the latest laser precision cutting techniques to engrave each one with care and attention to detail.

Your kit arrives in a beautifully turned sandalwood casing, complete with a secure screw-top. I neatly laser-engraved "BEE REVIVE" on the main body, along with Eco Seed Balls website address, so you always know where to find this product. Every single rescue kit is individually lasered, a testament to my dedication to quality.

I've designed your kit to be super convenient, fitting it with a handy keychain. This means you can easily attach it to your keys, bags, rucksacks, hooded clothing, zips, and more! It's always accessible when you're out and about and come across a tired bee needing a little lift.

Inside your emergency bee kit, you'll discover a perfectly sized glass bottle filled with emergency bee syrup. There's enough syrup to help 2-3 bees, and maybe even more, unless you encounter a particularly thirsty one!

I've also included clear instructions with your kit, offering helpful tips on how to assist tired bees. Plus, you'll find valuable advice on what we can all do to protect and prevent our beloved bees from becoming exhausted in the long term.

Remember to refresh your bee syrup every 12 months. You can easily find replacement bottles on this website, allowing you to simply swap in a fresh one. And for your original bottle? They make awesome little containers for perfume or aftershave on those special nights out!

How to Help a Tired Bee

When you spot a bee that seems a bit weary, here's how you can lend a hand:

  • Observe the weather: If it's dry and the bee is on a flower or the ground, it's most likely just resting.
  • Provide shelter: If the bee is caught in the rain or in a precarious spot, you can help by giving it shelter. Gently use a leaf or something nearby to lift the bee onto a flower or plant, ideally near a shallow pool of water.
  • Offer a boost: If you're still concerned the bee is struggling, carefully offer a few drops of the syrup from your emergency rescue vial. Please, never offer honey.

Ultimately, the most impactful way to help bees thrive is to create a welcoming habitat for them. Fill your garden with bee-friendly plants and never use pesticides.
